How to Use the Hyperliquid Mobile App
Risk warning. Trading perpetual futures and other leveraged crypto-asset products is high risk. A large share of retail traders lose money, so never trade with money you cannot afford to lose entirely. Disclaimer
Here’s the part most guides skip: there is no official Hyperliquid app on iOS, and the official Android app doesn’t yet support trading. Anything claiming otherwise deserves a second look before you install it.
This guide is part of TradeOnDEX’s Hyperliquid how-to series within Perpetual Futures.

What “the Hyperliquid mobile app” actually refers to, right now
Three genuinely different things get called “the Hyperliquid app,” and confusing them matters:
- The Hyperliquid web app in a mobile browser, at app.hyperliquid.xyz, this is the actual platform, responsive on mobile, and the only option officially built and maintained by Hyperliquid itself.
- An official Android MVP, released for early testing on Google Play. As of this writing, it validates wallet connectivity and sends trade-execution notifications, but does not yet support placing trades.
- Third-party native apps (for example, Hyperly on iOS, or wallet apps like Gem Wallet that integrate Hyperliquid trading), built by independent developers, not by Hyperliquid, and explicitly not affiliated with or endorsed by the platform.
This means for you, concretely: if you want the full, official trading experience on your phone today, your mobile browser pointed at app.hyperliquid.xyz is the most reliable option, not a downloaded app.
How to use Hyperliquid from a mobile browser
- Open your phone’s browser and navigate directly to app.hyperliquid.xyz, type it yourself or use your own bookmark, not a link from a search ad, social post, or DM.
- Connect your wallet using your mobile wallet app’s built-in browser connection (most self-custody wallets support this via WalletConnect or a similar standard).
- Trade as you would on desktop; the interface is responsive, though a larger screen makes reading charts and the order book easier.
Risk: why “just download the app” is genuinely bad advice here
Hyperliquid’s own documentation and reporting are explicit: any app claiming to be the official Hyperliquid app, beyond the limited Android MVP, is a scam risk. This isn’t a minor caveat, it’s the single most important fact in this guide. Fake apps mimicking legitimate platforms are a well-documented pattern across the crypto app stores generally.
Third-party apps that genuinely do integrate Hyperliquid are not the same as an official app, even when they’re legitimate and useful. Using one means trusting that specific developer’s code with your trading activity and, depending on the app’s design, potentially your wallet connection. Before installing any third-party app, check who built it, whether it’s linked from Hyperliquid’s own official channels, and how it’s described (self-disclosed as independent vs. implying official status).
The official Android MVP is intentionally limited. Don’t expect full trading functionality from it yet. Its stated purpose is testing wallet connectivity, order routing, and notification infrastructure, not serving as a production trading app.
A missing official iOS app is exactly the kind of gap phishing apps exploit. If you search an app store for “Hyperliquid” and find something that looks polished and official, that’s precisely the moment to slow down and verify, not the moment to trust the polish.

Start with the mobile browser at app.hyperliquid.xyz, it requires no download, carries no third-party trust question, and is the closest thing to an official mobile experience available today.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an official Hyperliquid app on the iOS App Store?
No. As of this writing, Hyperliquid has not released an official iOS app; any app in the App Store claiming to be the official Hyperliquid app should be treated as a likely scam.
Can I trade on the official Android app?
Not yet, the current official Android release is a limited MVP focused on testing wallet connectivity and notifications, not trading.
Are third-party mobile apps that support Hyperliquid safe to use?
Some are legitimate and clearly self-disclose as independent, unaffiliated projects, but “legitimate” and “official” are different things. Verify the developer and never assume App Store presence implies an endorsement from Hyperliquid.
What’s the safest way to trade Hyperliquid on my phone today?
Using your mobile browser to access app.hyperliquid.xyz directly, the same way you’d use it on desktop.

Risk warning
Trading crypto assets, and leveraged products based on them such as perpetual futures ("perps"), is high risk. A large share of retail traders lose money on these products. Leverage magnifies gains and losses alike and can push your loss beyond the amount you put in. Positions can be closed automatically (liquidation) before you get a chance to react, and some of the platforms we cover offer no negative balance protection.
Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose entirely. TradeOnDEX gives no investment advice, no personal recommendation, and no guarantee of any outcome. Every decision you make is your own decision and your own responsibility.
