DEX stats: volume, open interest and funding compared

This page lines up the market figures of the decentralized exchanges we cover. Everything comes straight from the exchanges themselves, not from a middleman, and every row names its source.

Risk warning

Trading crypto assets, and leveraged products based on them such as perpetual futures ("perps"), is high risk. A large share of retail traders lose money on these products. Leverage magnifies gains and losses alike and can push your loss beyond the amount you put in. Positions can be closed automatically (liquidation) before you get a chance to react, and some of the platforms we cover offer no negative balance protection.

Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose entirely. TradeOnDEX gives no investment advice, no personal recommendation, and no guarantee of any outcome. Every decision you make is your own decision and your own responsibility.

How to read this table

Volume says something about activity, not about quality. Notional volume is also not cleanly comparable between venues: an orderbook DEX with plenty of fast market makers produces different numbers than a DEX that prices from oracles, and venues running a volume incentive programme attract trading that mostly exists for the reward. Read these figures as a record of what the exchange itself reports.

Where it says unknown, the exchange does not publish that metric. We then show nothing, and deliberately not a zero: a figure whose definition, unit or period we cannot establish is one we would rather not publish at all. n/a means the metric does not exist for that type of venue, such as open interest on a spot DEX.

Active markets counts the markets that actually traded in the last 24 hours. That is deliberately not the same as the number of markets an exchange lists, because those lists often carry old or duplicate contracts with no trading at all. The total number of listed markets is in that cell's tooltip.

Funding is the rate for that exchange's BTC contract, converted to an hourly rate so the venues can be compared. More about how we work is on our methodology page.
